Research of the Current Welfare Situation of the Need and Employment Service in Community for People with Disabilities

| Popis: | 92 For people with disabilities, to work in the open market means a lot of significance.It not only enables them to earn the reasonable salary and to obtain the work welfare,but also reduces them from to the welfare allowance dependence.Besides,it allows people with disabilities melt into various social groups and establishe friendship and support network relations. Therefore, it is especially important to effectively assist people with disabilities to enter the community employment service. By means of an open wide opinion by the questionnaire survey, this research expects to understand issues such as the needs of the community employment service, the current welfare situation, its satisfaction degree as to different individuals, and the family variables in difference situations. The research takes count into the people with disabilities on their family members and their friends as research objects in the north, central and south of Taiwan Province, to conduct the investigation and study. Effective sample comes to 568 cases, that is, effective ratio 81 ﹪. The obtained material by the frequencies allocation, the crosstabs analysis, the t test and the One-Way ANOVA analysis were used as the measures and methods in the discussion. Generally speaking, (1).people with disabilities need more community employment service and welfare. The satisfaction was not achieved, and much had to be improved in the near future. (2). Individual variables exist to both men and women. No matter what, it shows there are significant differences in 5 aspects as the recognition and satisfaction about employment service in Communities, demand in terms of economy, material and spirit, the employment service, models of welfare and service, the upgrade of live quality. Different age or education background may influence the acceptance of community employment service recognition and satisfaction. (3). And different location shows significant difference to the acceptance of community employment service recognition and satisfaction, needs of spirit, leisure or the public relations,and the welfare service pattern as well. In addition, family is also one of the primary factors. (4). Different family income reveals significant difference to community employment service recognition and satisfaction and the promotion of improving life quality for people with disabilities. (5). As a conclusion, people with disabilities need more care on various aspects of community employment service, recognition and satisfaction. Among them the most important variables are the needs on spiritual or leisure social, welfare service model, upgrade of live quality etc., which can be fulfilled and executed mainly by the efforts of the authorities of the Government. |
