| Popis: | 92 The elders are the major consumers of medical services and the health factor is the major reason affecting the use of medical utilization In this research, by structural questionnaire and database of Bureau of National Health Insurance, the use of medical utilization for community elders and quality of life were explored to provide references for designing medical cares for the elders. In this research, the solitary elders listed in the 2004 statistic data from Jen De Hsiang, Tainan Hsien were selected as the research subjects, and some randomly selected non-solitary elders from the same area were selected as the reference group. The questionnaire was conducted from January, 2004 to March, 2004. A total of 263 successful questionnaires were retrieved, including 120 from solitary elders and 143 from non-solitary elders. This research showed that community elders will use different medical services in according to their own requirements.
