| Popis: | 92 With the mass production of Wire-EDM machines manufactured by local machine tool builders in Taiwan, the cost of machinery in diagnosis and maintenance are more and more increased, and thus there exists a demand to provide machinery with the functions of remote diagnosis and maintenance. This paper is aimed to develop a remote diagnosis system for Wire-EDM machines by using internet-network technology and Java programming. Based on an open architecture CNC system, a communication module with Socket interface has been developed to provide the function of Internet connection by means of Borland C++ Builder programming. A remote diagnosis system with Socket interface has been developed to communicate with Wire-EDM machines by Java programming. User interface of the developed system has the functions of position coordinate display, diagnosis and alarm display. Experimental results have demonstrated that the developed system can remotely monitor and diagnose Wire-EDM machines over an Internet connection. |
