Popis: | 92 Due to the prevalent of broadband Internet, e-Learning has become more and more popular for learning in formal education as well as in job training in enterprise. As e-Learning becomes more and more prevalent, research on various aspects of e-Learning also receives intensive attention. Among these studies, student portfolios are very important data for teachers to evaluate students’ performance as well as diagnose students’ misconception. Therefore, how to collect student portfolios from various aspects is a very important research for e-Learning. In this thesis, we propose to collect student portfolios based on the agent technology. An agent program is automatically installed at each learner’s machine when he/she browses the web page of our Learning Management System (LMS) for the first time. The major advantage of using an agent to collect a student’s portfolio is the ability to collect more accurate and detail information, such as the student’s browsing behavior, student’s thinking/idle time, courseware and web pages that have been browsed, sequence of web pages browsed, etc. The collected records are then transferred to a student portfolios server based on Web services technology. Student portfolios are then analyzed via graphic tools which can be accessed by teachers through the Web. |
