The thesis investigates the effect of the dressing feed, and the depth of dressing on the profiles on the grinding wheels by using a single-point diamond dresser to dress wheel. The study dressed the grinding wheels with different dressing condition. After getting the topography of the dressed wheel surface from surface roughness tester, the research analyze the variance of spectrum with software FFT. Then discussed the relationship between three waveforms, dressed surface curve and dressing condition mentioned by previous data. The study found out the reappearances of three waveforms were not good. The result revealed that while dresser cut into wheel surface during the process of wheel dressing, it’s reconstruction system of surface profile inclined to random because the effect of drain falling, fracture and the voids. Therefore, it can’t find out the relation between three waveforms and dressing condition and can’t build a formula as expectation. In spite of the dressed wheel is hard or soft, the spectrum intensity of basic waveform decided by dresser profile and dressing condition become stronger with the increase of dressing feed rate and depth. But when the overlap occurs because of the smeller dressing, the spectrum intensity decrease.
