Popis: | 91 The continuous growth of the electronic learning (e-learning) market has drawn a lot of attention and discussion about the effectiveness of a web-based virtual learning environment (VLE). The initial emphasis of e-learning in the context of information technology skills training has been gradually shifted to the context of education in general, and higher education in particular. This research focus on how users’ intentions continue using the e-learning system technology. Users may continue using the e-learning system technology because of interface, ease of use, usefulness…etc. These factors may, in turn, influence the satisfaction level of online learners and their intention to continue using the e-learning system. Therefore, it is plausible that these factors may be as important as or more important than the design of an effective e-learning technology in the context of higher education. In light of this, this research integrates computer self-efficacy (CSE) and expectation-confirmation model (ECM). Also, this research assesses the applicability of a theoretical framework which aimed to understand the intention of online learners in higher education to continue using the e-learning system. The results indicate that, in the context of VLE, there are significant relationships among the CSE of online learners. It also theorizes the causal relationships of perceived usefulness, confirmation, satisfaction, and information systems (IS) continuance intention. Thus, this research contend that this research has contributed to explain how users’ continuance intention would be affected by such constructs as perceived usefulness, confirmation, satisfaction, and IS continuance intention through a field survey. |
