In this thesis, we analyze reflective LCD by a ray tracing tool. A light source is mainly provided at both sides of the light pipe and light is guided to the light guide. We propose a new light pipe structure and its important that guide all possible light of LED to the light pipe. The illuminance value is 9.3244 unit:lux. And then we propose a new light pipe structure combining symmetrical structure of the light pipe and the semi-cylindrical lens to increase light effect. We use the semi-cylindrical lens curvature to bend the light, and the light will send out exactelly horizontal from the light pipe. The illuminance value is 7.3665 unit:lux. In the light guide, we first look for the regularity of the step-faces structure. The illuminance value is 4.2653 unit:lux. And then we combine the corrugated prismatic structure and the step-faces structure to enhance the illuminance and the uniformity. The illuminance value is 4.3429 unit:lux and the brightness uniformity value is 1.149.
