The Study of Decomposer Using Ozone for the Residual Pesticides on Vegetables and Fruits

Popis: | 91 The topic of this study is to design and manufacture a decomposer that was used to eliminate the residual pesticides on vegetables and fruits, i.e. vegetables and fruits decomposer. The mass transfer of ozone in water was investigated to determine the performance of the decomposer structure. Then, the ozonation of ten kinds of pesticide solutions was carried out the decomposing ability of pesticide solutions. However, only seven kinds of residual pesticides on vegetables were curried out in this study. For the performance of the decomposer, the mass transfer of three types of decomposers used, such as cylindrical, cone and barrel type decomposers, indicates that the best mass transfer has been obtained by using the barrel type decomposer with draft tube. For the decomposition of ten kinds of pesticides solutions, it was found that only five kinds of pesticides solutions can meet the safety value within ozonation of 15 min in ozone capacity of 100 mg/hr. As the ozone capacity increases to 200 mg/hr, seven kinds of pesticide solutions can meet the safety value within the ozonation of 15 min. Nevertheless, all experimental pesticides solutions can be met the safety value within the ozonation of 40 min. In the case of elimination of residual pesticides on vegetables, some of data show very random. This may be due to the non-uniform distribution of residual pesticides on vegetables and the different adhesive ability for different pesticides.
