Popis: | 91 The purpose of this study was to explore the life experience of childlessness in middle-aged women and what were the impact on their life with childlessness. This research applied life history method. Through in-depth interviews and candid retelling of the life story, 3 childlessness married participants who were over 45 years old and did not adopt any child. The each interview took 2-3 hours. After interviewing all the participants till they can complete their life history, the tape-recorded data were written as verbatim transcriptions. The narrative analysis was used to identify and clarify the themes. Results are presented as three phases dimensions: (a)early marriage phase: feel difficult to get pregnant because age reason, get pressure from husband’s mother of continuing the family line is a mandatory responsibility, because love so want to have their own baby(b)during infertility treatment phase: hard to deal with repeat failure, care about husband’s sincere attitude, worried about can not well educate the child of adopt and might feel sorry to the parents(c)give up bearing baby phase: let it be, regret still in mind, believe in no child by doomed, go well with each other in the future life. The impact of childlessness to the middle-aged women were (a)not to live together with husband’s parent(b)to build up strength(c)pay attention to manage health and finance. The results of this study will serve as references for nursing professionals to provide essential counseling and educational intervention in middle-aged childlessness women. Finally, further suggestions were to set up a counseling center to help those women can go through the childlessness life. |
