This study is about the “Dialogue Teaching Model” undertaken by a teacher who tries to improve her current teaching environment. By using the “Action Research” as a method, she is hoping to correct her fifth grade students’ inappropriate languages that have damaged class solidarity, students’ personal growth and their ability to accommodate school environment. Hence, the purpose of this study is to set up the objective, the content, the principle, the process and the evaluation of “Dialogue Teaching Method”, and at the same time to explore what educational function and meaning it brings to both students and the teacher. “Dialogue Teaching Model” is to have students to use “group discussion “ to talk about the real cases that happen in their life. This student-centered teaching curriculum is emphasized on criticism, introspection and praxis. Through continuous interactions and dialogues between the teacher and students, this teaching model will be able to solve the problems that vulgar languages have brought to the students. Generally speaking, “Dialogue Teaching Model” is a model that can be developed to meet the objective of the 1st - 9th Grades Curriculum. This “Dialogue Teaching Model” was repeated 25 times, and here are the conclusions. 1、It is helpful to improve individual student’s interpersonal skills in the following ways: 1)Students are more mature and have clearer idea about democracy. 2)Students are able to control their temper when disputes or argument occur. 3)Students feel more comfortable to express their feelings and ideas in public. 4)Students’ problem-solving ability has been strengthened. 5)Students know how to give comments or introspect and get use making dialogue with other. 6)Students’ interpersonal skills at home and at school are both improving. 2、The following are the benefits it brings to students as a whole. 1) Conflicts or disagreement in class are reduced. 2) Class solidarity and consensus become stronger. 3) Group dynamics have been enhanced. 4) Cooperative Learning Model has been implemented. 5) Unique class image is established. 3、It’s educational function and meaning in teaching are listed below: 1)A teaching model to inspirit learning motive and interest of students. 2)It’s a teacher competence-based teaching model. 3)It’s a reflective teaching that improves parent-teacher-students relationship. 4)This is an integrated educational system that not only emphasizes the intellectual instruction but also helps students to discover and develop other potentials. 5)It is helpful to create enjoyable teaching climate through effective classroom management. 6)It is a teaching model that gathers all sorts of human resources. 7)It provides a new teaching topic. If you are interested in the same study, the following advice should be taken into consideration: 1. Make sure to choose the right time when you perform the “Dialogue Teaching Model”. 2. Be very careful and flexible to select the issues or topics for discussion. 3. The teacher must remember to role model the dialogue before the curriculum starts. 4. Pay attention to students’ proposals or suggestions and put them into practice. 5. Supplementary instruction is necessary to make teaching procedures smoother. 6. The environment must be easy and comfortable for dialogue teaching.
