The goal of this study is to stabilize the laser frequency at the resonant frequency of Fabry-Perot cavity. Through the detection of the reflected beam from a beam splitter (R/T:10/90) installed inside the cavity, the laser frequency is stabilized. In order to obtain the error signal for frequency stabilization, we modulated PZT controller attached to one of the end mirrors of the cavity. By using the lock-in amplifier and the servo loop to demodulate the signal and feedback the signal to the laser, the laser frequency was stabilized at the center of resonant frequency of Fabry-Perot cavity. The relative stability is 4.2 MHz and the frequency jittering in 1 min is 2.8×10-8, indicating that the method of installing beam splitter in the cavity is able to stabilize the laser frequency. In the future work, the frequency stability will be improved by using Pound-Drever-Hall method.
