The Research of the Relationship between Volunteers' Leisure Activities and Job Involvement ─the case in China Youth Corps

| Popis: | 91 This study analyses the volunteers’ relationships of leisure activities and job involvement in the China Youth Corps, as well as to evaluate the demographic factors that influence leisure activities and job involvement of the volunteers. First, reliability analysis was used to examine the goodness-of-fit test of scales of leisure activities and job involvement, and then factor analysis was applied to extract the mutual factors of volunteers’ leisure activities. Second, Pearson correlation method was used to find the volunteers’ relationships between leisure activities and job involvement in the China Youth Corps. Results show the positive relationships between leisure activities and job involvement. The more frequent the volunteer engage leisure activities, the higher level the volunteer involved to their job. Then, T-test and One-Way ANOVA methods were used in this study. Results indicate that volunteers’ leisure activities were significantly affected by marriage, household size, age, education background, average monthly income, and monthly service time. Results also indicate that volunteers’ job involvement was significantly influenced by age, average monthly income, average numbers of day off function in the office, service department, and service time. We conclude by providing some relevant suggestions, which can help the government social administration department to create social welfare-related regulations in Taiwan or apply to the China Youth Corps for increasing the volunteers’ job involvement. |
