Since the T-S fuzzy system can approximate any nonlinear system with arbitrary accuracy, it is also expected to be an approach to observe the states of a nonlinear system. Up to date, not a few frameworks of Fuzzy Kalman Filter (FKF) have been proposed and applied to various fields without rigorous proof. In this thesis, we first derive a sufficient condition based on the Linear Matrix Inequality theory for the stability of the above-mentioned Fuzzy Kalman Filter. Furthermore, under Gaussian assumption of noised, we derive the optimal Fuzzy Kalman Filter for the T-S fuzzy systems. Finally, we demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm through simulation study.
