The drawback of the conventional grey prediction controller is with the fixed prediction step size, and it can’t improve dynamic response of system effectively. However, dynamic adjusting the prediction step size by combining with fuzzy theory, the disadvantage of the conventional grey prediction controller can be corrected, and the system exhibits good dynamic response. In this dissertation, a novel grey prediction control scheme combing fuzzy prediction step and difference grey model is proposed. The proposed approach is termed difference fuzzy grey prediction controller (DFGPC) and used to improve the dynamic performance of the adaptive vector control system of induction motors. The DFGPC predicts the tendency of the systematic output, so it can take control previously and prevent from accident. The control approach likes a pusher that makes compensation for the system. Beside, the structure of the vector control system is a direct rotor flux orientation control (DRFOC) structure, so the method of flux observer design is also a main point of this study. We use the adaptive reduced flux observer to improve the drawbacks of the full order observer where the location of pole assignment must follow the speed command and the performance of the system is easier to be affected with parameter variations. The experiment results show that the performance of the control scheme is very excellent.
