As the technology improves, the performance of weapon system has a great promotion. However, the maintenance of logistic support becomes more and more difficult, and the computation of the life cycle in weapon system components becomes more and more complex. According to the reliability theory and formula, we can compute the reliability of the whole system. However, it is difficult to compute and predict the failure of sub-component only based on the reliability theory. In addition, the relation among the failure components is invisible. This thesis will discuss and focus on how to use data mining technology to find out the failure of the aircraft engine components and the relation among them. After the data of aircraft engine components are extracted and analyzed, the interaction among failure components can be identified by using the Association Rule. Then the failure components can be predicted. In the process of data mining, “Time” is an important factor affecting the relation among the failure components. The longer the engine is used, the more obvious of relation among the failure component is. The purpose of this thesis is to establish a failure component predicting model. It will provide the failure component warnings to policymaker and help buyer to control the amount of spare parts efficiently and decrease the purchase components cost.
