According to a research, the use of Internet has become the necessary knowledge for the primary school students in general. The purpose of this research is to study the relationship of the background of the primary school students who use Internet, their behaviors of using Internet, and their psychological characteristics. The relative factors in this study include sex, grade, school size, specific subject, behavior of using Internet, interpersonal relationship, self-concept, and life adjustment. Each factor is studied to examine the differences and the correlations between individual variables. Research results: 1. Most primary school students have the ability to use Internet. They use it to obtain information more than to communicate with other users. 2. Certain difference of the relationships between various Internet users’ backgrounds and their behaviors of using Internet, self-concepts, interpersonal relationships, or life adjustments are significant. 3. In the difference of the relationships between Internet users’ behaviors and their psychological characteristics, the averages of the interpersonal relationship and life adjustment of the high frequency Internet games player is lower than the averages of the lower ones. The averages of the interpersonal relationships, self-concept, and life adjustment of the high frequency information accessing users are higher than the averages of the lower or medium ones. 4. There are certain significant interacting effects between the Internet users’ backgrounds and internet behaviors on Self-concept, interpersonal relationships and life adjustment. 5. Self-concept and interpersonal relationships have strong predications on life adjustment. Internet behavior has a weaker one. According to above findings, suggestions were offered for school guide and advanced researches. |
