Popis: | 90 A Study on Leadership of Tzu Chi Foundation’s Entrepreneur Abstract The development and contribution of the Nonprofit Organizations (NPOs) are becoming more and more important in a modern society. From the concession of the governmental sector that: there are limitations in government while no limits for the civilian forces, we can also conclude that: the civilian endeavors are the major power in the society. NPOs are the centers of gathering civilian power to improve the goodness of a society and this is the main object of this study. Peter Drucker (1990) points out that the operation of a NPO is based on its mission. The mission is a commitment of the NPO’s members. The leader of a NPO must put all his efforts in the fulfillment of the mission. This study will consider the edge property of an NPO and propose leadership styles to find the successful ways of managing the organization. A leadership style called “ common vision model” is proposed. The style is identified in the Tzu Chi Foundation. The mission of Tzu Chi Foundation is to help those who help themselves and caring for others. This mission stimulates the members of the foundation the momentum to a common commitment and hence provides the edging action to the effectiveness of the organization.
