In the acrylic reactor system, the temperature control is very important. But the heating processes can be very complex, and are often poorly understood: What works and what does not work is generally known, but what things work is often known. Now, temperature control of an exothermic bath reaction using fuzzy neural network is studied here. The temperature control process of acrylic reaction is a multivariable and nonlinear dynamic system. Facing this plant, this paper presents a fuzzy neural network control strategy which is able to enhance the capacity of self-learning of fuzzy control rules, based on the self-learning ability of neural networks. Simulation research and physical analog experiment prove the feasibility of this control strategy.
