With Gullermo Cabrera Infante’s novel, Three Trapped Tigers, we can investigate about the relationship between the city Havana and the Cubans before the revolution of 1959. Also we can study the magic realism of “Latin American Boom” that Cabrera Infante focuses on the language, combining the popular culture and literature. In the beginning of the thesis, it introduces the motivation, purpose, dimension and the difficulty of this investigation. In the first chapter, it analyses the problem of identity and existence of the protagonists, inclusive the duality and tri-relation between the narrators and the author. Besides, it includes the social position and the life of others secondary characters. In the next chapter, it studies about vivid writing and some mysterious numbers. In the third chapter, it focuses on the apocalyptic description, comparing with the “Apocalypse” of Bible and the Negativism.
