The Relationship among Individual Creativity, Organizational Innovation Climate, and Organizational Innovation Performance: An Empirical Study of Advertising Agency in Taipei

Popis: | 90 Face to the era of knowledge economy is coming up in 21st Century, it’s no doubt of importance studying on “creativity” and “innovation“, adopting the scoop of cross-level research on “individual” and “organization”. That approach has been adopted by this research, the target of this research is the advertising agency, and focus on “individual creativity”, “organizational innovation climate”, “organizational product innovation performance”. The method of this research has applied questionnaire, to explore the relationship between individual creativity, perceptual of organization climate, organizational innovation performance of 197 employees in the department of creative section of 27 advertising agencies in Taipei. The research tools include that: “the inventory of creativity personnel character”, “the inventory of creativity personnel tendency”, “the inventory of organizational innovation climate”. The obtained data applies descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation analysis, two-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis etc., statistics methods to analysis. The research results are as followings: 1. Excepting educational degree, official duty two items of individual traits variable, the rest have no significant effect with individual creativity. 2. There is no way to explain and predict individual creativity, excepting the official duty of creative director in individual traits variable. 3. There is significant effect between individual creativity and organizational innovation performance, significant effect between organizational innovation climate and organizational innovation performance, no significant effect between individual creativity and organizational innovation climate. 4. The employee of high / low level individual creativity, there is significant difference on organizational innovation climate, organizational innovation performance. The company of high / low organizational innovation climate, there is significant difference on individual creativity of their employee, organizational innovation performance. The company of high / low organizational innovation performance, there is significant difference on individual creativity of their employee, organizational innovation climate. 5. There is a moderating effect of organizational innovation climate impact individual creativity and affect organizational innovation performance. 6. Individual creativity can explain and predict organizational innovation performance, but organizational innovation climate can’t. Finally, this research make some suggestion based on the results of empirical study for reference of academic theory, management practice and consequent researchers, and expect to contribute all of them. |
