Popis: | 89 A Study on Concept Development of “Astronomical Phenomena” of the Junior and Senior Students of Taipei Elementary Schools Abstract The main purpose of this research is to probe the states and the influential factors in the development of the astronomical concept of the junior and senior students of Taipei elementary schools. Through the statistical analysis of student questionnaire, screening questions and objectives of the interview by undertaking semi-structured interacting interview to gain misconception or alter-native framework which are related to this research. There are 744 study samplings of the junior and senior students of Taipei elementary schools. Using self-designed research tool --- “Questionnaire about the astronomical concept development of the junior and senior students of Taipei elementary school ” to survey. 18 students were interviewed by “the outline of interview “which is also designed by the author. Research data has been analyzed by the statistic methods of t-test, Pearson correlation, One-Way ANOVA, Scheffe method etc. The concrete research results are: 1. There is a normal distribution of all student’s scores .The averages for all topics are all 50% upwards. 2. The different points of the questionnaire are influenced by students’ gender, parents’ social and economic status, and difference of grade, etc. 3. There are obvious difference between male and female responses to the questionnaire. The differences are significant espe-cially on the topics of the moon, the sun and the earth. 4. Using Pearson correlation to analyze the index of parents’ social and economic status and points of the questionnaire, the result shows significant relation. α=.01 both ends examining level. 5. Both of the parents’ educational background and occupation are significantly related to the scores of the questionnaire. 6. The result of the analysis of variance between the range of the students’ grade and scores of the questionnaire indicates that the higher the grade the student is, the better understanding of astronomical concepts. 7. 50.3% of the students had no comment about whether it’s difficult or not to comprehend the astronomical concepts. And the proportion of difficult and easy they feel are almost equlal.(about 16%) 8. 62% of the students are interested in the topic of astronomy. 9. Only 34.1% of the parents gives assistances or participate in students’ activities of astronomical learning.40.3% of the parents rarely or never assist their children to improve astronomical concepts. And according to the results of One-Way ANOVA, parents’ offer of assistance has a positive influence upon children’s astronomical learning. 10. There are ten types of misconception or alternative framework about astronomy induced from the interview students.
