The Influence of Pre-Treatment Agent on K/S Value of Tencel by Ink Jet Printing

The Ink Jet Printing technology is able to meet the customer requirements of diversification and individuation,because of its versatility,littleness and quick sampling characterastics.Since effectively dye up-take and no effluent,it is an environmental friendly technology.Threrefore,Ink Jet Printing technology recently becomes a popular issue in the industries.Especially,textile industry is now facing the problems of sustainable management,environmental protection,energy saving and reusing, etc,it is the necessary measures in dyeing and printing industries. This article studied the pre-treatment agent for Tencel fabric in ink jet printing to present excellent performance。In this experiment,different printing thickeners and caustic agent were applied on Tencel fabric by dipping to investigate the value of K/S。As a result,the highest value of Yellow was presented at 3% Sodium Alginate,1% Na2 CO3,8%Urea;Magenta was obtained at 3﹪High D.S. CMC(carboxy methyl cellulose),1%Na2CO3,8%Urea;Cyan was obtained by 3%High D.S. CMC,, 1%Na2CO3, 8%Urea and Black was obtained by 3%Sodium alginate, 5%NaHCO3,8%Urea. The K/S value was affected by the structure and particle size of dye as well as ink viscosity。
