Popis: | 89 The success rate of the implants was not high if the edentulous area did not have good bone quality. Clinically, there were no objective methods to evaluate the bone quality of the edentulous area and to predict or diagnose when the implants could be loaded. This may be one of the main reasons why the implants suffered from early failure especially in patients with poor bone quality. The purpose of the study was to explore the relationship among removal torque, voltage change and voltage frequency change during the first stage of implant surgery. This study was done with the hope that the bone quality can be expressed more subjectively the intimate contact between implant and bone could be predictable and the concept of immediate loading could be utilized with rationality. In the pilot study, we used the hard and soft plastic blocks to represent the hard and soft bone specimens. Ten Branemark screw taps ( 3.75 mm in diameter and 13 mm in length ) were used to tap 5 preformed holes in a hard plastic block and 5 in soft ones with hand pressure. The results of pilot study showed that significant differences ( Wilcoxon Rank-Sum Test (p |
