An Application of Fuzzy Sliding Mode Control to High-Precision Focusing and Tracking Control of a Versatile Dynamical Testbed for Optical Disks

Popis: | 88 In this paper, a rule -based fuzzy algorithm and a sliding mode control is employed to improve the focusing and tracking performance for a versatile polychromatic dynamic testbed. In order to suppress the chattering phenomena caused by the discontinuous control, a continuous sliding control with boundary layer is proposed. In addition we apply a fuzzy controller within the boundary layer to help reduce the steady-state error. In this setting, the closed-loop system is shown to have a faster switching frequency and a smaller steady-state error. Moreover, the control law is shown to satisfy the sliding condition so that the closed-loop system can be guaranteed globally asymptotically stable. To illustrate the validity of our design, the control of a high-density tracking DVD is under consideration. The experimental results have indicated that the proposed controller can achieve the high-precision requirement. |
