Test of hollow circular RC bridge column repaired with FRP

Popis: | 88 This thesis presented the experimental results of the hollow circular RC bridge columns repaired by carbon fibers. In the other hand, we refered to the former studies to evaluate the moment capacity,shear strenth and ultimate displacement of bridge columns. Three columns were made in the experiment for different failure modes. They were long column(flexural failure),middle column(flexural and shear failure) and short column(shear failure).In first step, horizontal force were loaded on one of them till the cover concrete of the column failed.Then repaired it with carbon fibers and reloading till the column failed. The results showed great ductility of three different columns after repaired,even some of them were made for shear failure.The moment capacity increase 10%∼20%,but stiffness decreased obviously after repaired.Compare to the results which did not repaired ( reference 6, 1999), the ultimate displacement increased 50%∼60% and the dissipated energy increased substantially.The average ductility raised from 6.03 to 9.01.The theoretical analysis showed satisfied answers to evaluate the moment capacity and ultimate displacement of repaired columns. But it was difficult to get accurate results of stiffness. |
