Popis: | 88 This thesis focuses on the extraction of moving video object plane in order to accomplish the basic MPEG-4 compress. Because of the development of computer networks, the techniques related to video image transmission become the very important research topics. Among them, video image compression is one of the essential techniques. With various compression techniques developed, MPEG-4 is the one which uses content-based coding. Because of the reason, video image segmentation, motion detection and estimation are the crucial preprocessing steps to MPEG-4 compression. In the project, the techniques for performing motion object segmentation, detection, and estimation are developed. These techniques include using pixel gray level, color information, combined with contextual information for the partition of single image frame into regions. Based on the correlation of consecutive image frames, temporal edges are detected. The detected temporal edges are fused with the region partition results to obtain the complete object plane. Besides, we also proposed shape coding using snake and spline methods. All of these results are implemented in a visual C++ environment with a friendly user interface so as to allow users interactively edit their video images. |
