Popis: | 88 Modernization and civilization have improved human life standard, but unfortunately they also bring us unwanted increasing hidden hazards. Accidents happen at working and residential places quite often, especially those hazardous fire accidents caused serious death. Today, fire fighters are exposed to a very complex array of hazards, safety at work and the reduction of occupational injuries are social, political, and technological objectives in developed countries. The minimum functional requirement of fire fighting protective clothing has been brought into focus through research studies and highlighted in some literature. The requirements of fire fighters protective clothing should not only prevent risks due to heat and/or fire; comfort、durability、ease of mobility、ease of care、etc., are also the main required specifications of personal protective clothing in the new coming consumption epoch. This research program will incorporate a comprehensive evaluation of comfort and functional performances, using state-of-art laboratory methods to measure various flameproof fabrics. Measure items include thermal insulation, air permeability, moisture permeability, hydrostatic pressure, flameproof, temperature and humidity of microclimate of fire fighting protective clothing. In additional, fire fighters response of functional performances to their protective clothing will also be the focus of this research. Quantitative techniques, such as analysis of variance, multivariate analysis of variance, and t test, etc., will be used to analyze the correlation between textile composite properties and comfort/ functional performances. The results showed that thermal insulation, air permeability, moisture permeability, hydrostatic pressure, flameproof, etc., are affected by fabric composition and specification. Factors affect comfort of fire fighting protective clothing are activity level, clothing components, and the number of times for using. The areas that fire fighting protective clothing must to improve are comfort, convenient of dressing, and dimensional fitness. |
