Popis: | 87 In this dissertation, circuit analysis and controllers design of a zero-voltage-transition (ZVT) soft-switching boost converter are proposed. What we have done are as follows: the driver and controllers design and the derivation of an ac small signal model for ZVT boost converters. The ZVT soft-switching converters solve the existing problems of high switching losses of traditional PWM converters and the high voltage and current stresses of resonant converters. It takes advantages of pulse width modulation and tank resonance. The requirements of zero voltage/zero current and constant frequency operation are thereby achieved. Such kinds of converters are especially useful in the application of high efficency power converter system. In the literature, the recent research on ZVT soft-switching converters restricts on DC steady state analysis. The derivation of the mathematical ac model has not been done yet. Some researchers thought that its small signal mathematical model should be the same as traditional PWM boost converter. But the answer is not confirmative. From the results of our analysis, the dynamical behavior will be changed under the variations of light load. It leads us to the conclusion that both models are naturally different. From a control point of view, an accurate mathematical model for the converter is of essence to designe a proper controller for the output voltage regulation. In this dissertation, the averaging method for two-time-scale discontinuous system (AM-TTS-DS) is used to derive the small signal model of a ZVT converter. The model is verified by the experimental results. Then based on this model, a classical controller and an MIVSC controller are designed. The simulation and experiment results show that the MIVSC controller exhibits better regulation capacity despite of the variations of load and line variations. |
