Reactions of Tricarbonyl{(E)-3-phenyl-1-[(phenylsulfonyl)imino]-2-propene}iron(0)

Popis: | 87 Tricarbonyl(η4-1,3-butadiene)iron complexes are widely used as starting materials in the synthesis of organic compounds due to the properties of the Fe(CO)3 moiety to act not only as an activating group but also as a protecting and stereo directing group. There is also a number of reactions starting from the tricarbonyl (1,4-diaza-diene)iron complexes, but only little is known about the reactivity of tricarbonyl(1-aza-1,3-diene)iron compounds so far. Tricarbonyliron(0) complexes of 1-aza-1,3-dienes were first reported in 1967.Here we report the structures of (2R)-4-phenyl-2-(phenylsulfonyl) amino-but- 3-ene (13), (2R,3S,4R)-3-bromo-4-phenyl-2-(phenyl-sulfonyl)aminobut-4-yl nitrate (14), (2R,3S,4R)-3-bromo-4-hydroxyl-4-phenyl-2-(phenylsulfonyl)amino butane (15), (2R,3R,4S)-3,4-di-bromo-4-phenyl-2-(phenylsulfonyl)aminobutane (16), 4-bromo-4-phenyl-2-(phenylsulfonyl)aminobut-3-ene (17), (2R,3S,4R)-3,4-di-bromo-4-phenyl-2-(phenylsulfonyl)aminobutane (18) that are synthesized from tricarbonyl-[(E)-3-phenyl-1-[(phenylsulfonyl)imino]-2-propene]iron(0) (4). The complex 4 is formed from the (E)-3-phenyl-1-[(phenylsulfonyl)imino]-2-propene (3). Treatment of the complex 4 with MeLi/LiBr then followed with CAN, which gave compounds 13-18. Treatment of the complex 4 with MeMgBr then followed with CAN(ammonium cerium(IV) nitrate) gave compound 25. We have also done many test reactions to verify the about conclusions. |
