The advances of information technology has stimulated the rapid development of computer applications in hospitals. This study examines the factors affecting the EIS development. This study addressed the EIS development by looking into 6 different dimensions: inside factors, critical success factors, environmental factors, system development, executive’s managerial activities and information demand analysis. We also examine the profiles of EIS application in domestic hospital. At total of twelve propositions were proposed, these can be used by CEOs of hospital to review and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of current EIS in their organizations and stimulate their hospital management. The results of this study indicate that most hospitals just started developing EIS. Because Information system architecture is not completely, so many hospitals don’t develop EIS. Besides, the executive’s support is the most important successful factor in developing EIS. EIS will keep aware to the application of the network in future and EIS’s platform will base on personal computer and client/server configuration. So, this findings provide a sound future of EIS in hospitals.
