This reasearch investigates Russian and Kazakhstan''s roles in Central Asia, CIS, and international arena from the perspectives of historical back- ground, political/ diplomatic affairs,economic/trade issues,military coopera- tion, and social change. This reasearch is devided into 7 chapters : Chat. 1. is to research motives and purposes, methodological approaches, basic structure, resecued scope and limitation are specified. Chat. 2. des- cribes ration -building moss of Kazakhstan and Russia, Included are Russian annexation of Kazakhstan in the Tsar era. The formation of " Kazakhstan Soviet " after Russian October Revolution, and the fomation of Kazakhstan Republic after the collapse of Soviet Union. Based on the CIS fomation, Chat. 3. addresses Russian-Kazakhstan politi- cal ties theoretical structures and basic policies thereof, and the orienta- tion of its future development. Chat. 4. analyses the concentration and fur- ther development of Russian-Kazakhstan trade relations from the perspective of Kazakhstan''s economic dependence on Russia. Chat. 5. discusses the development of military doctive, organization and equipment, and strategic vision of Russian and Kazakhstan, and the lattitude for further cooperation. Chat. 6. points out the critical factor of rational severties of both countries. It analyses the basic ethnic and social contra- diction from the perspective of ethnical structure. Based on this research, I intand to summarize the context and rature of Russian -Kazakhstan ties, political,economic,military and social interaction thereof,and try to visnalize the sturctuse for development. |
