Popis: | 85 Two hydraulic gradients and various degrees of confining stresses are applied tothe soil-geotextile system in this study of the filtration behavior. Apparatusmodified from that of the ASTM gradient ratio test is adopted to perform theinvestigation. The gradient ratio,seepage rate of the flow and permeability indifferent layers of soil specimen along the flow direction are used to analysisthe experimental results. Several conclusions can be drawn from the preliminarystudy: 1. At low hydraulic gradient(i=1),the hydraulic gradient increased withthe increase of confining stress.Factors that influence the and normal confiningstress. 2. At high hydraulic gradient( i=5),the hydraulic gradient ratio is noteffected by the normal confining stress. 3. Modified gradient ratio that uses0.5 cm of soil layer instead of 2.5 cm in ASTM gradient ratio is more sensitiveto particle rearrangement occurring at the interface of soil and geotextile. 4.The upper soil layer*s coefficient of permeability is descending,the reason isdue to test water. |
