| Popis: | 85 In this thesis, we attempt to solve the Schrodinger equation on a torusto obtain the energy levels of a free point particle constrained on a torus. In certain cases, the equation can be solved analyticallywhile, in the general case, it can be solved by numerical method.The energy spectrum is denser for a thinner torus(i.e. the circular cross section much smaller compared to the axial circle ) and becomes continuous in the limit of a colsed string. |
