The selection of entry mode is an important decision making topic in the internationalization of a transnational enterprise, and has played a vital influence in the corporation operation, global resource assignment, and global strategic planning. In this thesis, we focused our research on foreign communication companies, our purpose is to investigate their evolution process of entry mode and analyze the influential factors of their entry mode in Taiwan market. Through research, we have earned the conclusions listed below: 1. Market growth potentiality influence the motivation factor of entry mode of foreign enterprises but it has no obvious connection with the decision making of entry patterns. 2. Foreign enterprises prefer the policy of lower market risk. In order to lower the operation risk, they might take joint venture or sole venture pattern according to the differences of the target customers and the products characteristics. 3. When there''s a keen competition or the market need is high, foreign enterprises prefer the operation of entirely capital pattern with branches, so they can grasp the development of the markets and avoid the risk of being highly involved.
