Popis: | 84 The effect has been studied of organic chlorine mainly resulting from Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) and other possible sources in Municipal Solid Wastes(MSW) on the speciation and distribution of metal compounds during the process of combustion. The experiments were conducted, using a tube and modular incinerator, at the incineration temperatures ranged from 650℃ to 900℃, with the chlorine content varied from 0% to 9.5% by weight of the simulated wastes. The resultant bottom ash, flyash, and the flue gas were analyzed to determine the total metal concentrations of Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb, Zn, Hg, and As. The ashes were also progressed for X-ray Diffraction(XRD) analysis and Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) observation. The results show that Cr, Cu, Pb, and Zn remain in the bottom ashes after burning, while most of the Cd goes onto the flyash; and approximately 100% of the Hg volatilizes into the exhaust gas. However, Arsenic is found both in bottom ash and flyash. Increasing incineration temperature from 650℃ to 900℃, evidently increases the partition of Cr, Pb, Zn, and As, but the increment in the case of Cu is quite limited. |
