Popis: | 84 In this thesis, we propose a novel current-mode method for the error detection and fault diagnosis of OTA-C filters. Bas e on the state equation of the filter, a modified state equa tion is driven. With this modified state equation, a concurr ent error detection and fault diagnosis test circuit is desi gned. The test circuit consists two parts: one is a voltage to current converter, the other is a current comparator. Th is means that the test circuit gets voltages and currents fro m the filter. The voltages are then converted to current and compared with the currents obtained from the filter. Some simplification rules of test circuitareproposed to reduce the area overhead. The scan conceptis used to do fault diagnosis. Our design has the fol lowing characteristics:(1) easy to design and implement in m onolithicform, (2) high error detection speed, (3) test circ uit has little impact on the circuit performance of the filter, little area and pin number overhead, (5) actual signal rather than signalgenerated specifically for testing can be used, and (6) test canbe applied at full operating speed. This OTA-C filter with test circuitry has been realized by the UMC-0.8um DPDM CMOS technology. The area overhead is about 38%. |
