The efficient design and development of combustor systems requi- res careful characterization and optimization of very complexphenomena. The combustion designer has traditionally been forcedto rely heavily on experience, experimental data and empiricalexpressions. However, such an approach, if used to the exclusion of available computational or analytical techniques, would soon prove both expensive and incapable of assimilating the vastamount of design information. This thesis utilizes thecode FLOW3D to analyze the complex behavior of results show that the flow field not only can be effected by the shape of the chamber, but also changed with the position of the swirl burner. Strong interaction between each burner can affect the whole flow structure. These results can be referenced by the combustion chamber designer in order to increase combustion effi- ciency and decrease pollutant emissions.
