Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are the typical pollutants the petrochemical industry. They can react with nirtorgen oxides atmosphere to form the photochemical smog to add on the adverse the human health. This study treated methanol, methyl mercaptan, ethyl mercaptan by Pt catalyst in a fixed bed reactor. The effects of operating factors, such as temperature, space concentration, and oxygen concentration on the catalytic performed. Besides, the kinetics of catalytic oxidation of VOC by both the integral and differential methods. In the integral used zero, first, and second order of reaction respectively to experimental data; and in the differential method, severalsuch as power-rate, Mars and Van Krevelen, Langmuir-Hinshelwood models been used to analyze the results. We found that it would get higher conversion of VOCs for higher temperature, lower space velocity in all cases. The conversion increased with the increasing concentration only applied in the It decreased in both the methyl mercaptan and ethyl mercaptan concentration had no significant effect on conversion ofthe higher oxygen concentration did cause higher conversion of The results of kinetics were shown as follows. By the integral catalytic oxidation of methanol and ethyl mercaptan was the first order reaction, with 21.7 KJ/mole and 76 KJ/mole of activation respectively. By the differential method, the ethyl mercaptanr the Mars and Van Krevelen model, and its activation energy was 89
