Physical classroom space can influence a student’s sense of interconnectivity andcan support learning. Social effects of the physical space have been infrequentlyresearched regarding the role it has on student collaboration and therefore is not wellunderstood by school personnel. This thesis shares results of a mixed method contentanalysis of data collected across three new law school buildings in the United States ofAmerica. Students from each law school completed a survey to determine the effects thenew law school building had on their perceptions of the space, their ability to collaboratewith peers and faculty, and the overall difference between their experience in the newbuilding compared to the old law school building. |
