Popis: Since the closure of schools in 2020, educational changes driven by the use of digital technologies have fostered global interest in moving towards digital transformation. However, it is necessary for this to be accompanied by a digital culture within educational institutions, which is lagging behind in the case of Latin America. The objective of this research is to analyze the content of scientific studies from the period 2020-2023 related to the management of digital culture focused on digital transformation in public Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Latin America. The methodological design is qualitative with an epistemological basis in the interpretive paradigm and descriptive in scope. The technique involves a documentary review of 18 research publications in open access. A bibliographic search was conducted in the Scopus and Google Scholar databases. For the data analytical strategy, qualitative analysis was employed with the support of Atlas.ti software. Among the findings, it was identified that management poses a challenge with implications for rethinking the responsibilities of universities to respond to changes in interaction, academic communication, and learning, as well as the role of their educational actors and designing strategies to reduce the digital divide. This study provides an overview of the institutional environment regarding the era of transformation and its implications for digital culture in public HEIs in the Latin American context.
