Content curation is an activity that consists of the selection of digital content and its subsequent re-elaboration and publication or dissemination of the same. In recent years, its use in social networks is fundamental, since it guarantees the dissemination of content in different ways and generates greater promotion and a new vision about said content, attracting new readers or interested parties. This is the case of scientific journals, which disseminate the scientific content they publish, as well as eventually other content related to their thematic areas, on their own social platforms. Good content curation, and scientific content is no exception, requires the correct use of curation strategies and techniques. This paper aims to study the good practices in content curation of Ibero-American communication journals listed in the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR). A list of 44 journals was obtained, of which active social networks were only found in 16 of them. Next, the publications on these social networks were reviewed following an analysis template, around the type or healing technique used and the topic addressed. As topics, the contents about the current number, other numbers and notices/various contents were considered. As techniques, the main ones described in the specialized bibliography were considered: extracting, renaming, summarizing, commenting, citing, storyboarding and parallelizing. Finally, from all the information found, a series of good practices were extracted, which can serve as a reference for publications in the sector and other magazines when presenting their scientific content on social networks. Among the results of the research, it can be seen how extracting prevails in journals depending on the ease of its application, that in some cases there is an outstanding use of techniques that provide more added value to the publication, such as summarizing, commenting or to cite, and lastly, Storyboarding and parallelizing techniques were the least used. |
