Popis: In the Spanish language there are few collections of decodable books (Sánchez-Vincitore, 2018) and those available belong to commercial publishers or are for private use. Understanding the importance of explicit and progressive teaching of the alphabetic principle, as well as the need for high-quality texts for reading practice, the USAID-Leer project created a collection of decodable and leveled books to support the learning of reading from girls and boys of the first cycle of primary school. To guarantee that these educational resources can be easily found, accessed, used and distributed (Veras, 2020), the Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) defined a strategy for the open dissemination of this content, also aiming to contribute to the creation of more inclusive knowledge societies (UNESCO, 2019). The initiative has involved the work of the Resource Center for Learning and Research (CRAI-UNIBE) and consists of the creation of a digital collection that organizes, preserves and offers online access to the books created by the project. Previous studies indicate that digital platforms that host this type of resources require software and interfaces designed according to the needs and particular characteristics of their users (DeJongh, 2014). Future actions of the UNIBE strategy and the USAID-Leer project are aimed at responding to this need.
