This paper provides a general review of Catalan periodical literature during the two-year period 2016-2017. The authors present figures and other data on the readership and circulation of daily and non-daily publications in both paper and digital formats. The period in question was characterized by three trends: the ongoing crisis in the printed news media, the rise of the digital news media and the absence of reliable and valid public data on circulation and readership. |
