Contribution deals with the issue of application of the mobile information and communication technologies into the educational process of the Department of Information Science on the Institute of Computer Science, Faculty of Philosophy and Science, Silesian University in Opava. The qualitative survey conducted by author in 2012 is devoted to question the usefulness and applicability of the mobile ICT into educational process in the department and there are also presented results.
