This study analyzes the references cited in articles published by Spanish authors of Mathematical Education in indexed journals in the Social Science Citation Index. The purpose of the study is to know what the most cited authors and papers are and therefore identify the most influential authors in the field in Spain. Widely known and used at national and international level bibliometric techniques were used. It was found that the most cited author is Spanish and high citation of articles and authors related to problem solving, learning psychology theories and applications of mathematics education. |
