Economic resources are vital to offer good information services to library users, however, we cannot always count with enough budget. Funding of these organizations are received after two initiatives: the one by institutional directives, such as rectors whom assign resources after being convinced of the role of the library or its librarians themselves, whose diligence is more frequent. In this second case, in order to achieve better results, it is required to generate a vision, an idea, a project, and then transform it into a budget, in order to lobby with the authorities for the funding in a convenient way. This second case is the topic of this conference paper, which is centered in describing the ideal process -the art- of managing a budget successfully. |
