As part of the project "Open Access Statistics (OA-Statistics, OAS)" [funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG] Saarland University and State Library (SULB)conducted three surveys. Their aim was to find out what services (based on usage information and statistics) information specialists, scientists and repository- or ejournal-administrators would like be implemented in epublishing-services. In order to obtain as extensive feedback, the studies were held with different target groups. 1) interviews with information specialists and repository users, May and June 2009 2) online survey among repository users, October to December 2009 3) mail survey among repository- and ejournal-administrators, September and October 2009 This report summarizes the results of the individual studies and concludes with a brief synopsis of the results. OA-Statistics is supported by the DFG (German Research Foundation). The project was initiated by the DINI (German Initiative for Networked Information) - especially by the working group "Electronic Publishing". The project partners Göttingen State and University Library (SUB), Computer and Media Services (CMS) of the Humboldt University of Berlin (HU Berlin), Saarland University and State Library of Saarbrücken (SULB Saarbrücken) and Stuttgart University Library (UB Stuttgart) cooperate with national and international partners. In the second phase, the Verbundzentrale des GBV (VZG) became an additional project partner. |
