After a qualitative study of 48 Spanish organizations from the majority of the economic sub sectors, the present article sets out the congruities and incongruities that exist in the structure of their internal Communication and Public Relations departments. The results show how the gas, water and energy suppliers and the public transportation sub sector look for excellence in their communication management model over other sectors such as financial, health or education in Spain. Other indicators such as the organic and functional dependence, the denomination of the department or the professional profile of the people in charge, help to know the weakness of those Spanish communication departments in their natural evolution toward a Dominant Coalition integrated management model. |
