EITB’s newspaper library: orientating the customer. Throughout its approximately 20 years of existence, ETB’s Written Documentation Service has undergone important changes. Five years ago, the incorporation of new resources and digital production systems facilitated intermediation with reporters. The recent change in the site of the head office has given a larger group of potential users easier access. The newspaper library has its own database of 700,000 documents and it manages and maintains a collection of digital resources, some its own and others external, to which the user can gain access: information dossiers, forecasts, collections of summaries, annuals, current affairs… It answers the users’ demands and «promotes» and «offers» personalized products, distributing the information it possesses through predetermined channels in any one of the companies belonging to the group. |
