One of the most important tasks of libraries is to ensure access to as many sources of information as possible, regardless their forms and character. However, this doesn’t automatically mean the attainability of all these sources for library users. Information architects are supposed to facilitate access to information mainly electronic online through developing its structures or maps, which enable users to find their own ways to knowledge. Library science and information architecture intermingle and supplement each other within the common area of interest. The first one contributes established methodology and its research field and the second one – innovativeness in user studies. |
